Having been in business for almost 20 years, Martha Carlton, the owner, takes great care in selecting things she herself loves and wants to share. Creating spaces where women love to gather is one of Martha’s passions. Moving the business to 44 East Main in October of 2021 allowed her to expand and create just that.

One will find all kinds of treasures in Theophilus. Apparel for women of all ages comprises 60% of the collection, but certainly does not tell the whole story. Unique finds for your wardrobe can be complimented with shoes, scarves, jewelry and more. Whether you are looking for a gift or something to delight your own senses, they certainly have you covered. From candles and body care to puzzles and games to tabletop and barware, to pillows, wall art and other decor for the home; the selection is wonderful. Their greeting cards keep you covered for every occasion. The customer service you will receive from the wonderful staff is the best around, making your visit even more delightful.

I have been in business for almost 20 years now and have to say, I am a small town, brick and mortar kind of girl. I love collections that are unique and personal and applaud folks  that are creating those in their communities. That is the fabric that weaves beauty into so many spaces all throughout the world. That is one aspect of traveling that I most enjoy. I do however realize that our world has dramatically shifted in the past years and many of those shifts are the reasons we want to bring a portion of our collection to you.
